Industrial and residential power consumption in the Jamshedpur circle has surged by nearly 20 MW recently. Officials attribute this to an acute shortage of commercial and domestic LPG, forcing many residents and small businesses to switch to electric cooktops and induction stoves alongside the seasonal use of ACs and coolers.
